KidneyRef provides food reference values only. For personal dietary limits or medical questions, contact your renal dietitian, clinician, or care team.

Why does a food show "not reported"?

Some source databases and product labels do not include every nutrient. "Not reported" does not mean zero.

Where does food data come from?

Food data comes from USDA SR Legacy and Open Food Facts. Barcode lookup may call Open Food Facts when a product is not in the bundled database.

I reinstalled the app or got a new device — do I have to pay again?

No. KidneyRef is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Tap Restore purchase on the paywall to recover full access on the same Apple ID at no extra cost.

How do I back up or transfer my data?

Settings → Backup → Export backup saves a full JSON file of your diary. Import it on any device running KidneyRef to restore everything.
